Deutsche Schule Medellín is a nonprofit German international school in Medellín, sponsored by the German government and part of the German Schools Abroad network (ZfA). It is an IB World School serving ages 1 to 18 (Prekinder to Klasse 12) in a multilingual German-Spanish-English environment. The upper levels offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in a multilingual format (GIB), with TOK, CAS and the Extended Essay; some subjects are taught in German. German language learning runs throughout, with the Deutsches Sprachdiplom II (DSD II) at level B2/C1. In Klasse 6 there is a three-week trip to Germany, and in Klasse 10 a longer immersion.
