Cambridge International programs are implemented across the school from the early years through secondary education. Since 2011, GCB has been Cambridge-accredited, and Cambridge International standards guide the curriculum throughout the school. Fifth and eighth grade students sit Cambridge Check Point exams, and ninth grade students sit Cambridge IGCSE exams. Since 2018, GCB has pursued the pathway to becoming an IB World School, and as of 2021 students graduate with two diplomas: the GCB secondary diploma and the IB Diploma.
Art is a fundamental part of the integral development at GCB. The arts encompass dance, drama, music, painting, sculpture, and literature, and studying the arts promotes ethics and sensitivity. Music increases concentration; drawing develops creativity; drama enhances collaborative work; and dance reinforces identity and cultural richness. The Talent Show offers a yearly platform for Preschool, Primary, and Secondary students to present music, dance, and drama.
Immersion Programs broaden cultural understanding; GCB participates in academic and cultural immersion programs in England, Canada, and the United States through midyear summer camps for grades 7–9 and a November immersion program for grades 4–6. Cambridge International has been implemented since 2011, covering the entire school process with a student-centered philosophy that develops confidence, responsibility, reflection, innovation, and engagement. Fifth and eighth grade students sit Cambridge Check Point exams, and ninth grade students sit the Cambridge IGCSE; the Cambridge IGCSE is recognized by universities worldwide. Since 2018, GCB has embarked on the path toward becoming an IB World School, and as of 2021 graduates can receive two diplomas: the GCB secondary diploma and the IB Diploma.
Extra-curricular Activities provide a full range of options to develop sports, arts, and intellectual abilities. A wide range of sports includes tennis, soccer, basketball, volleyball, swimming, skating, tae-kwon-do, and horseback riding. Artistic options include robotics, mini-chef, choir, a string instrument orchestra, ballet, and aerial dancing, among others.
GCB promotes solidarity, social and environmental awareness. It supports artistic and sporting disciplines. Guided by our values, we prepare students to be responsible and engaged citizens who contribute to society.
Two political activities are part of leadership development: the School Government, organized by representatives from the educational community, and the Model United Nations (MUN). These activities have been developed since 2004, and in 2019 GCB was invited to participate in Harvard University's MUN. Since 2003, GCB has belonged to the Mejores Bachilleres de la Universidad Nacional program, which awards three annual scholarships to outstanding students and provides preferential university access to institutions such as Universidad del Rosario, Universidad de La Sabana, and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
The Sexual Education Program provides classes with tools that help clarify the concerns of our students through recognition, self-assessment and self-care to promote maturity in personal decision making. Anticipate is to Prevent focuses on health risks and the consumption of psychoactive, licit and illicit substances, developing self-esteem and self-care to foster a critical and preventive attitude toward tobacco, alcohol and the alike. These programs address sexual health and prevention of risky behaviors.

The campus centers on the Isaac Newton Cultural Centre, which houses Preschool, Primary, and Bachillerato libraries, plus workrooms and a Cinemateca; a terrace and central garden provide outdoor spaces for informal gatherings and experiential learning. Facilities include a bicycle track, gym, a sports Coliseum opened in 2018, and a healthy park. The school runs a broad after-school program with sports, arts, and academic enrichment, including robotics, choir, ballet, and a Talent Show.
