Languages taught include English, Spanish, and Mandarin. English and Spanish are taught within a bilingual framework; English is a second language from early years with about 60% exposure in elementary. Spanish language instruction begins in first grade with a mixed-method approach in reading and writing. Mandarin is offered as a third language from second grade through ninth grade, with tenth and eleventh grade as an elective; the program is affiliated with the Confucius Institute (HSK/HSKK exams, Hanban scholarships) and offers travel to China and a sister school arrangement with Beijing No.2 School.
Gimnasio Vermont has a bilingual program in English and Spanish. English is exposed at 60% in elementary and 40% Spanish, with an early immersion phase during Pre-K through Transition. The bilingual program is supported by an agreement with Saint Michael's College, Vermont, USA. The school runs a summer program in Vermont and in the northeastern United States and Canada.
Gimnasio Vermont offers a Total English Immersion Program from Pre-K through Transition (three years) with English as the language of instruction. The program comprises three phases: Prekinder (silent/early production), Kinder (early production), and Transition (emergence of speech). The immersion model is adapted from the St. Lambert School in Canada. In high school, English is used in academic contexts through Content Based Instruction.
Gimnasio Vermont is a Bogotá-based school in Bogotá serving ages 4 to 18 and offering International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) within a bilingual English program and values-based education framework. IB DP is a two-year pre‑university course for students aged 16–19, culminating in international exams and an IB diploma recognized by universities worldwide. At Gimnasio Vermont, Higher Level Spanish and English and Standard Level Mathematics and Philosophy form Diploma Programme, alongside an English immersion sequence that progresses from Early Total Immersion through the BICS phase to CALP in upper grades.
