Billing schedule and payment terms

Parent Experience

History

A royal charter in 1693 established a unique institution on the site of today's Osnovna škola Nikola Tesla with a central courtyard. In the early 18th century a Jesuit college and seminary were founded, their building incorporated into the current school. A modern school was built during Rijeka's Old Town renovation and opened in 1934 as Scuola elementare. After World War II the school operated under several names and, since 1962, has borne the name Osnovna škola 'Nikola Tesla'; it began as VIII-year school 'Brusić' in 1953 and soon became an Experimental Elementary School. Since 1969 it has served as a practicum school for several universities, today also hosting the Faculty of Physics and the Faculty of Mathematics; it received the City of Rijeka Award in 1972 and introduced a full-day program in 1978/79.

1) e-Upisi enrollment for the 1st grade. Enrollment in the 2025/2026 school year is conducted electronically via the national enrollment system (e-Upisi). Children born from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019 are eligible for intake in 1st grade. Applications open in the national system from February 15, 2025 to March 31, 2025, and parents select preferences for the school and program within the portal. The school teaches in English and follows the IB framework, with IB MYP as part of its offering. 2) Application submission and campus visit. Parents fill out the enrollment form and are encouraged to arrange a visit to the school to become acquainted with its educational philosophy. If there are spaces available, the school will consider the application for admission. 3) Documentation and submission.
