Foley's School was founded in 1970 by Ward and Pat Foley as Famagusta Grammar School in Famagusta. Following the 1974 invasion, the Foley family relocated to Limassol and re-established the school as Limassol Grammar and Junior School, later known locally as Foley's School. In 2016 the Primary section moved to a new, purpose-built campus in Ayios Athanasios, with the Secondary building and sports facilities following. The 2019-20 academic year marked the 50th anniversary and the reunification of the two sections on one modern campus; today the school educates around 1,300 pupils aged 3-18 on state-of-the-art premises.
Foley's School is private, independent, multinational and co-ed, with around 50 nationalities represented and English as the language of instruction. The school organizes local and international trips to expose pupils to different cultures, including trips to Greece and to Mongolia/China, as well as hiking expeditions. Foley's participates in Erasmus+ projects, coordinating a KA122 short-term project and collaborating with international partners. Extracurricular programs include the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award.
