Clubs, activities, and opportunities to explore interests and passions

Academic and Intellectual

The Junior and Senior School is an IB World School authorised in September 2025 to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for Years 12 and 13. Students thrive in international as well as national examinations and competitions, achieving excellent results and earning places at universities across the UK, Europe and North America. The Senior School follows the English National Curriculum for Key Stages 3–5 and prepares students for IGCSE, A Levels and the Apolytirion. The school is a Microsoft Showcase School, using technology to differentiate learning and engage students.

Arts and Creative

The Junior and Senior School places art, music and drama at the heart of the curriculum. The school's choirs and orchestras organise annual concerts, and a musical production is staged each year alternating between the Junior and Senior age groups. Afterschool Activities provide a broad range of artistic and musical opportunities, alongside drama and performance, with chess and language-learning options. These opportunities enable students to perform, devise, compose and take on technical roles in theatre and concerts.

Cultural and Language

Afterschool Activities include language learning. School trips are organised locally and abroad to broaden cultural understanding; recent destinations include New York, Barcelona, Strasbourg, Prague and Greece. The IB Diploma Programme nurtures curious, compassionate and open-minded learners and supports intercultural understanding as part of its framework.

Social and Hobbies

There are extensive co-curricular opportunities after school, including chess and language learning. The school's choirs and orchestrass provide social and artistic engagement, with annual concerts and productions. A vibrant House System fosters student leadership, teamwork and social participation through House sporting events and charity activities. Senior School activities also include public speaking and other clubs to build confidence and collaboration.

Community and Service

The House System coordinates charity events, fostering community involvement and social responsibility. School trips and global experiences contribute to service-minded leadership and cultural awareness. Pastoral care provides a supportive environment that helps students develop responsibility and community-minded values.

Leadership and Professional

The House System provides opportunities to lead and coordinate activities, fostering leadership and voice across year groups. The Duke of Edinburgh scheme is offered at the Senior School. Public speaking is part of the extracurricular programme, along with the Junior Achievement entrepreneurship programme. These activities develop leadership and professional skills.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

Sport is an integral and compulsory element of the curriculum, with a wide variety of sporting activities and competitive teams, many included in school fees. The timetabled Physical Education lessons are supported by a wide variety of sporting activities covered by the Afternoon Activities programme. Aspects of health related to exercise and healthy eating are covered in the Personal Social and Health Education (PSHE) curriculum at various stages during the pupils' primary and secondary education. The pastoral care emphasises relationships, wellbeing and personal, spiritual and moral development.
