Compulsory material / "egenbetaling" and typical student contributions
- One-off material contribution (egenbetaling) for 1.g: DKK 900 (paid in 1.g). This covers a portion of teaching materials and is collected as a single payment in the first year.
- Expected additional costs for excursions and study trips over the full programme: approximately DKK 6,000 in total across the three years, of which roughly DKK 5,000 typically covers the main study trip. These amounts are charged in connection with the trips/activities when they are planned.

Billing schedule and payment terms
- Timing: The material contribution (DKK 900) is billed and collected in 1.g (typically at or shortly after school start). Excursion and study-trip charges are billed when the trip is confirmed or according to the school's trip-invoice schedule.
- Payment terms: Fees and contributions are normally invoiced to parents/guardians and are payable by the methods shown on the invoice. Common collection methods used by comparable Danish gymnasiums include invoicing with payment by bank transfer and online payment portals; some schools use third-party ticketing/collection platforms for trip and material payments. Expect standard invoice payment deadlines (payment within the number of days stated on each invoice).

Boarding fees
- Boarding / kostafdeling: Not applicable. AARHUS GYMNASIUM – Tilst operates as a day campus and does not publish boarding facilities or boarding fees for the Tilst address. Families arrange local housing or youth accommodation independently.

Other typical costs or fees
- Uniform: No uniform requirement and no uniform fee for regular attendance at the gymnasium (day schools in Denmark generally do not require uniforms).
- Textbooks, copies, specialist materials: Some subject-specific materials, consumables or optional textbook purchases may be payable by families (these are typically covered in the DKK 900 material contribution or billed separately where needed).
- School photographs, optional extracurricular activities, instrument hire, examination-related costs (external exam boards) and personal spending on meals/transport are additional and billed separately when applicable.
- Transport: Regular public transport is arranged and paid for by families where applicable; subsidised youth travel cards and student discounts may apply under national/regional schemes.

IB-specific fees (where applicable)
- IB assessment/examination fees: IB candidate assessment fees are charged by the International Baccalaureate organisation for externally marked assessments and are normally invoiced to IB candidates by the school. Expect per-subject assessed fees and other IB assessment charges as invoiced in advance of IB registration deadlines. The IB publishes assessment charge structures that schools apply when billing candidates.

Refund information
- Refunds for material contributions, trip payments or IB assessment fees follow the school's and external provider's refund and cancellation rules. For externally organised study trips, losses due to cancellation or changes are handled according to the travel provider's and school's stated terms; comparable Danish gymnasiums note that the school does not automatically cover students' losses arising from third-party cancellations. Refund eligibility, deadlines and any administrative fees are determined case-by-case by the school or the external provider.

Fee payment options
- Typical accepted methods: bank transfer (invoice/IBAN details on school invoices), municipal/school invoicing systems and common online payment portals used by Danish schools; some schools use event/ticketing platforms for trip and material payments. Specific accepted payment channels and account details are shown on each invoice issued by the school.

Notes: Amounts shown (DKK 900 for material contribution; DKK 6,000 estimated excursion/study‑trip total) reflect the normal practice used by Aarhus-area municipal gymnasiums and the standard "egenbetaling" practice for upper-secondary schools in the region. Actual invoiced amounts, dates and payment channels for AARHUS GYMNASIUM – Tilst will appear on the school's official invoices and student information when charges are issued.
