Fee Breakdown

Fees
Application fees
- Admission (application) fee: DKK 3,500 (non-refundable).

Tuition fees by year group (amounts and how they are billed)
- Preschool (ages 2½–5½): No published monthly or annual tuition figure is provided in the school's public fee schedule. Contact the school for preschool pricing.

- Elementary (lower/upper elementary; ages ~5½–12+):
- For children with an activated Danish CPR number and registered before 5 September: DKK 3,000 per month per child. School fees are divided across 12 months. Annual total (12 months): DKK 36,000.
- For children without a Danish CPR number, or children registered after 5 September: DKK 4,800 per month per child. Annual total (12 months): DKK 57,600. This higher rate applies because the school will not receive state subsidy for new registrations after 5 September.
- Term billing: the school divides tuition across a full 12-month billing cycle for the academic year (1 August to 31 July). The school does not publish a separate per-term tuition amount; tuition is charged monthly as shown above and the academic-year total is the monthly rate multiplied by 12.

Billing schedule and payment terms
- Billing frequency options and discounts:
- Monthly payments: standard option.
- Half-year payment: 2% discount on tuition.
- Yearly payment: 3% discount on tuition.
- Deposit and initial invoicing:
- Deposit: two months' school fee payable on acceptance (for the second and third enrolled child the deposit is one month's school fee). Examples: deposit = DKK 6,000 (2 × DKK 3,000) for the standard CPR rate, or DKK 9,600 (2 × DKK 4,800) for the non-CPR / late-registration rate. The deposit is refundable after the child leaves the school or after three months' notice of withdrawal has been given and all school fees have been paid. The deposit will not be refunded if the child is withdrawn before their first day of school; the deposit is refunded only if the child has started and the school has been given three months' notice prior to the student's last day.
- First invoice: the school's first invoice includes the first month's tuition, the last month's tuition for that school year, and the admission fee (DKK 3,500). The deposit is collected separately upon acceptance.
- Withdrawal and notice: three months' written notice (by email) is required for withdrawal.

Boarding fees
- Boarding: not applicable. The school operates preschool and elementary day programmes; no boarding programme or boarding fees are published.

Other costs and additional service fees
- Before- and after-school care fees:
- Morning care (before 08:00): DKK 500 (applicable only if there are more than eight children needing morning care).
- Afternoon-only care (regular): DKK 1,500.
- Drop-in afternoon care (registered): DKK 120 per hour. If the child is not registered for drop-in, the charge is DKK 500 per day.
- Late collection penalty: DKK 120 per 15 minutes, per child, after closing time.
- Sibling discounts (only for enrollments before 5 September for children with a CPR number):
- 2nd child: DKK 300 discount (per month).
- 3rd child: DKK 500 discount (per month).
- 4th child: DKK 1,200 discount (per month).
- Uniforms / additional material fees: No separate uniform fee or mandatory uniform charge is published in the public fee information. The school operates a small online shop for items but no standard uniform fee is listed.

Refund information and trial-period refunds
- Deposit refund: the deposit is refundable after the child leaves the school or after three months' notice of withdrawal has been given and all school fees are current. The deposit will not be refunded if the child is withdrawn before their first day at school.
- Trial-period refund in specific circumstances: if the school requests the application fee and deposit prior to a trial week (periods of high demand) and the trial indicates the school is not the right fit, those fees will be fully refunded.

Fee payment options (method and practical notes)
- Payment frequency options available: monthly, half-year (2% discount), and yearly (3% discount).
- Accepted payment methods (credit card, bank transfer, etc.): the public fee information does not specify accepted payment instruments (bank transfer, card, direct debit). Please note the school's published fee details list payment frequency and discounts but do not list explicit payment-method options.

International Montessori School Copenhagen (IMS) is an international Montessori school in Skovlunde, Copenhagen, serving ages 3 to 15. The curriculum is Montessori-based, with Preschool (2½–5), Lower and Upper Elementary (5½–12+), and Middle School (12½–15). English is the main language of instruction; Danish is taught as a second language in small, level-based groups. The Preschool program opened in February 2023, and the school later expanded to offer elementary and middle-school programs; in 2023 the Danish Ministry of Education approved IMS's Montessori approach. The campus is in the same building as an independent preschool at Dyregårdsvej 5. The school emphasizes a democratic, value-centered environment and hands-on learning across nine areas in preschool, plus comprehensive subjects in elementary. Danish Fælles Mål align with Montessori pedagogy, and progress is recorded weekly for families via Montessori Compass. An Adolescent Program (Montessori-IB mix) is planned for 2027 if enrollment supports it.
