Skipper Clement Skolen is a bi-lingual school providing education in Danish and English for students aged 5 to 17. It was the first international school to be established in the Jutland peninsula in 2001. It became a Cambridge International Examinations Centre in 2002, and students have taken Checkpoint and IGCSE exams since that time. Since 2023 the school has started the process of growing a second line of classes from the bottom up. It has over 260 students in 11 classes, Stage 1 to Stage 11.
Skipper Clement Skolen maintains a busy calendar of activities year-round, including seasonal holidays, cultural celebrations and performances. Notable events include the First Day Back, Parent Teacher Meetings, Key Stage 1 International Foods Dinner, Skipper Løbet, and Xmas plays (Juleklip and Lucia), as well as World Book Day and Culture Day/Open House with arts and music displays. The school also marks International Children's Day and holds project weeks and career guidance evenings for older students, among other activities. These events involve families and the wider Aalborg community and span August to July.
The School Board includes parent representatives, staff representatives and the School Leader. The Chair is Louise Esko Refshøj and the Deputy Chair is Marit Lund Agerbæk, both parent representatives. Other parent representatives include Maria Boddum Andersen and Thomas Michael Bjuring. Staff representatives include Nicolai Lindholm Sørensen, Sharelle Vandborg, and Claus Gaihede, with Peter Würtz serving as the School Leader. The Board governs school matters and represents family interests in decisions.
Skipper Clement International School is a private bilingual Danish–English school in Aalborg for students aged 5–17. The curriculum blends Cambridge Primary and Cambridge Secondary with Cambridge IGCSE, alongside elements of the Danish system. The school has been a Cambridge International Examinations Centre since 2002, with Checkpoint at the end of Stage 9 and 9 IGCSE subjects at Stages 10–11. Assessments include Cambridge Progression Tests and internal exams, with four progress reports each year. The Gl. Kærvej campus is Aalborg's largest private school, centrally located near Kildeparken, with access to nearby sports facilities. There is no on-site cafeteria; students bring packed lunches, and the kitchen sells drinks and snacks. The school is bilingual Danish/English, celebrating cultural diversity through International Children's Day, Culture Day, World Book Day, and Skipper Løbet, a school-wide sports event. Leadership includes School Leader Peter Würtz and Head of International Department Jenny Rohd-Thomsen.
