1. Complete the Online Application Form per applicant. Upload a picture of the applicant, birth certificate, passport, previous year's and most current report card, standardized test reports (if any), and any other relevant documents regarding the applicant. 2. Submit a Confidential Reference Form from a current teacher. After submitting the application, you will find the instructions on requesting the confidential form from a current teacher. 3. Family Interview and Reference Letters. Families applying for the first time to Carol Morgan School must schedule an interview with the Admissions Manager and provide a community reference letter from a current CMS family. International families may provide a letter from their employer, current school, or organization. 4. Payment of the application fee. You can complete this fee at the cashier's office at CMS or online: Storefront: Pay Application Fee. 5. Schedule the Admission Screening. Once you submit the application, a member of our admissions team will contact you to schedule the screening. This evaluation can be scheduled remotely for international families yet to arrive in the Dominican Republic. 6. After completing the above, the admissions committee will meet and provide a formal recommendation. 7. Age Requirements. CMS begins in Pre-Kinder for 4-year-olds, Kindergarten for 5-year-olds, and first grade for 6-year-olds; students must turn the required age before September 1 of the enrolling school year. 8. Class Sizes. Pre-Kinder: a maximum of 17 students per class; Kindergarten: a maximum of 18 students per class; Grades 1-5: a maximum of 22 students per class; Grades 6-12: a maximum of 22 students per class. The school has a Merit & Need-Based Scholarship Program that benefits talented Dominican students with limited resources. Three students have completed this program so far and two more joined our High School in 2023. Donors in the U.S.A. may submit their donation through The Carol Morgan School Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization; thus, gifts are tax-deductible in the United States.
Carol Morgan School (CMS) is an international school in Santo Domingo offering the IB Diploma Programme alongside an American curriculum for students aged 4 to 18. The English-language program is immersive, developing bilingual English and Spanish skills while engaging with Dominican culture. CMS is pursuing IB World School authorization, and its Elementary program from pre-kindergarten to grade 5 provides core subjects—math, reading, writing, science, and social studies—plus art, music, technology, Spanish, and physical education; 4th and 5th graders may study math, science, or social studies with a different homeroom teacher. The 15-acre campus in Mirador Sur includes 98 classrooms, 13 multi-purpose spaces, 3 Makerspaces, 7 technology labs, 8 art spaces, and 9 music rooms. The Shark Center is a 1,400-square-meter gym with a 350-square-meter stage. The field features a size-11 soccer turf and a 9,000 m² grass field. On-campus libraries include an Elementary Library with over 20,000 titles and an MS/HS Library with a quiet area and terrace. CMS emphasizes robotics, service-learning, and language development through programs and clubs.
