Facilities Overview

CMS sits on a 15-acre site in Mirador Sur, Santo Domingo. The campus has 98 classrooms, 13 multi-purpose learning spaces, 3 Makerspaces, 7 technology labs, 8 art spaces, and 9 music rooms spread across nine buildings. The field includes a size 11 professional soccer turf field and a 9,000 m² multisport grass field. The Shark Center is a 1,400-square-meter multipurpose gym with a double-court system, retractable backstops, and electronic scoreboards, plus a 350-square-meter stage with professional lighting and sound. There are two parking lots with over 200 spaces and safety systems including 3 emergency generators, a water treatment system, wireless smoke detectors, and a campus-wide PA system. The Shark Cafe provides on-site dining.

Sports Facilities

Shark Center features hardwood courts for basketball and volleyball, with a double-court system, retractable backstops, and electronic scoreboards. The center can host performances for up to 1,800 spectators in a 350-square-meter stage with professional lighting and sound. The outdoor facilities include a size 11 professional soccer turf field and a 9,000 m² multisport grass field for field sports and recreational activities. There are two parking lots with over 200 spaces and on-site safety systems to support athletic events.

Academic Facilities

CMS provides two on-campus libraries: the Elementary Library with over 20,000 titles, including a Spanish collection, and the MS/HS Library with a quiet reading area, terrace, and flexible collaborative spaces. The campus supports STEM and technology education with seven technology labs and robotics integrated into the Elementary Technology Curriculum. Fine Arts facilities include a Dance Studio in the Shark Center, a Black Box Theater, and dedicated spaces for music and drama. The campus houses science, engineering, and robotics laboratories to support science and technology instruction. Library and technology spaces empower inquiry-based learning.

Extra-Curricular Activities

The After School Activities (ASA) program runs Monday to Thursday after school, during Fall and Spring, offering a diverse range of activities in sports, arts, and other disciplines. End-of-semester showcases invite parents to view student progress. Robotics is an active extracurricular program with FIRST Lego League competitions in Middle School and Team DRIFT in High School; CMS has hosted competitions and earned awards. Fine Arts and Athletics provide additional extracurricular opportunities, including dance and drama in the Shark Center and a variety of team sports.
