History

Saint George School is a multicultural international school in Santo Domingo with almost 60 years of educational excellence. It blends international curricula with the Dominican Ministry of Education-approved framework and is the only international school in the Dominican Republic to offer IGCSEs at 14 followed by the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The IBDP was the first International Baccalaureate program authorized in Latin America in 1995. The school's accreditations include the Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, and it is a member of the Council of International Schools. Teaching occurs in English and Spanish, with initiatives such as English/Spanish as a second language and a Student Success Program for learners with disabilities.

Community

Saint George School's community includes more than 45 nationalities, creating a welcoming and diverse learning environment. The school uses a house system to foster identity, teamwork, and a sense of belonging across age groups. The School Connect Program strengthens communication between school, home, and the wider Saint George family, and the SGS Parents' Association invites parental involvement. Global citizenship is supported through student participation in international competitions, trips, and service projects linked to the Nord Anglia network.

Saint George School is a multicultural international campus in Santo Domingo that delivers a UK-inspired foundation with Dominican curriculum integration. The school serves students from ages two to eighteen and teaches primarily in English and Spanish, with targeted language support to ensure confidence in both languages. From Infant through Upper School, it offers Cambridge IGCSEs for ages fourteen to sixteen followed by the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for ages sixteen to eighteen, making it the Dominican Republic's sole school to run both pathways. The academic program is validated by the Dominican Ministry of Education and NEASC, and Saint George is a member of the Council of International Schools. The Piantini campus spans about ten thousand square meters and features an Innovation Centre with a STEAM Maker Space, a robotics classroom, music and arts facilities, and a well-stocked library. An extracurricular program and international trips foster leadership, service, and global citizenship.
