Uniform Requirement

The daily and bus-uniform includes a white polo shirt with blue and red side detailing, a navy blue skirt or pants with red and white piping, and front-logo embroidery with a crest at the corner; an optional red sweater with the embroidered logo. Additional components shown in the catalog include a light blue blouse and light blue shirt, a camel-beige pant, a blue blazer, and a navy scarf with white stripes and a navy tie with white stripes. The athletic uniform consists of a white sports shirt, an electric blue hoodie, and an electric blue and red jacket.

Governance and Ownership

ASOCIACIÓN COLEGIO AMERICANO DE GUAYAQUIL is a private nonprofit entity founded in 1971. It aims to establish and maintain educational units for human and cultural formation, develop entrepreneurial and innovative skills, and promote cultural relations between Ecuador and the United States and other countries.

The American School of Guayaquil is a private, nonprofit bilingual international school with ties to the United States, promoting cultural relations between Ecuador and the United States. The school teaches in English and Spanish and offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for students aged 16–19. The DP spans six subject groups and three components: Extended Essay (Monografía), Theory of Knowledge (TOK) and Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS). Students choose six subjects from six groups as a full Diploma, with three at Higher Level and three at Standard Level, and complete assessments recognized for direct university entry, credit, and scholarships. Since 1985, school has delivered IB Diploma Programme. Primary Years Programme serves 3–12 with a transdisciplinary, inquiry-based framework and bilingual immersion, culminating in PYP Exhibition. Founded in 1942 by Harry and Mollie Jacobson, ASOCAG governs the school today; facilities include Robert Allan Reed stadium and modern laboratories on Avenida Juan Tanca Marengo.
