Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The school provides comprehensive student support in psychological, pedagogical, emotional, and social areas through the Department of Student Counseling (DECE). The Learn to Be program, developed with DECE and tutors, promotes socioemotional development and mental health through weekly tutor sessions and the Veo Positivo program. It aims to strengthen emotional intelligence by helping students identify, understand, and regulate their emotions for well-being. It promotes intrinsic motivation by fostering autonomy, responsibility, and discovering aptitudes and interests for personal and vocational development. It develops coping strategies to face difficult situations such as academic failure or external pressures. It fosters a positive, inclusive, and collaborative school climate through assertive communication.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

English language instruction is delivered through a bilingual immersion approach. In Preschool, English immersion stimulates creativity and lays foundations for mastering a second language. The school's bilingual immersion underpins its international, culturally diverse educational approach and is complemented by an integrated methodology that also emphasizes artistic and physical development to prepare students as globally engaged citizens.

Mental Wellbeing

Learn to Be is based on psychological training to promote emotional, social, and academic well-being through developing soft skills that help students face the challenges of their schooling. Specific objectives include strengthening emotional intelligence by helping students identify, understand, and regulate their emotions; promoting intrinsic motivation by fostering autonomy and responsibility and helping students discover aptitudes and interests for future development; developing coping skills to handle difficult situations; and fostering a positive, inclusive school climate through assertive communication.
