Introduction

Established in 2002, Colegio Alemán Stiehle de Cuenca is a co-educational, international day school officially recognized by the German government as an Excellent German School Abroad (DAS). Serving approximately 600 students from kindergarten through high school, the institution is situated on an 8-hectare "pedagogical village" in the natural surroundings of Baguanchi, just outside Cuenca. The school offers an exceptional, globally-minded curriculum that culminates in a triple-diploma pathway: the Ecuadorian Bachillerato, the German Fachhochschulreife, and the Multilingual International Baccalaureate (GIB). Dedicated to trilingualism, instruction rigorously incorporates German, Spanish, and English. With an emphasis on autonomy, intercultural understanding, and academic excellence, graduates are uniquely prepared to directly enter top-tier universities in Germany, Ecuador, and around the world.
