Uniform Requirement

Uniforms are supplied by Skole, the sole Ecuadorian company certified as a member of the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol and ISO 9001, using durable cotton with sustainable production. The formal uniform for women is a skirt, blouse, cardigan and tie; the sports uniform is a sweatshirt, hoodie and T-shirt. The formal uniform for men is trousers, shirt, cardigan and tie; the sports uniform is a sweatshirt, hoodie and T-shirt. Shoes for the formal uniform must be black and formal (no heels, boots, or athletic shoes).

Food Options

The cafeteria provides varied, healthy meals. The medical department works with the cafeteria administrator to design daily options with appropriate portions of carbohydrates and calories according to students' age; preschool and early primary grades also receive a mid-morning snack. Lunch is served at 12:00 for Preschool (one menu option, sit-down), 13:00 for Primary (two main-course options, buffet), and 14:00 for Secondary (two main-course options, buffet); all menus include a starter or soup, a main course, dessert and a beverage (natural juice—no soft drinks).

Governance and Ownership

Ruth García is the founder. The school is led by Executive President Marybel Perdomo and Academic Director Maria Inés Brioso, with Gabriela Larenas serving as Administrative Director and Admissions. The school is a 100% BI institution authorized to offer all three BI programs and forms part of a national BI group.

Colegio Británico Internacional in Quito is a 100% IB school serving learners from age 3 to 18 and offering PYP, MYP and DP. The curriculum connects learning to real-world contexts to develop globally minded citizens. The IB learner profile emphasizes ten attributes: Principled, Open-minded, Inquirers, Knowledgeable, Thinkers, Reflective, Caring, Balanced, Communicators and Risk-takers. From preschool onward, students develop knowledge, critical and creative thinking, and interdisciplinary skills to work independently and collaboratively. The Diploma Programme offers a two-year path with Theory of Knowledge and Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS). The school maintains university partnerships with Excelia University, Southern Utah University, Nebrija University, Universidad Europea del Atlántico, and Anahuac. The campus spans more than 55,000 square meters and includes a castle-inspired preschool, five primary blocks with a four-floor music/art/Italian/French block, and a secondary complex with science labs and studios.
