Admissions Process

1. Applications are accepted throughout the year. Admissions decisions are made by May 31 for each new academic year. Applications received after June 1 will be notified in August depending on availability of space. 2. Complete CMS admission application signed by the parent/guardian. Placement is determined through assessment tests to establish placement and levels. 3. Assessment tests are in English (comprehension, language & writing) and in Math. The students must speak and comprehend English. 4. Placement tests are corrected within 24 hours. Parents are notified of test scores within 48 hours after the assessment. Grading is 86%-100% above average; 60%-85% on level; below 60% below average. 5. If an F – less than 60, the assessment may be rescheduled and a summer course could be offered at the request of the parent. 6. After acceptance, the following documents must be submitted to CMS within a week: birth certificate; registration fees; 12 photographs; parent/guardian I.D./Passport; copy of passport (Foreigners); student's medical report; bus transportation information; phone number and emergency phone No. 7. Students transferred from the National system must present an approval transfer form from Educational Zone and previous school report cards with advanced English scores for the previous two years, stamped by the Educational Zone. 8. Egyptian/Foreign students transferred from International Schools must present report cards showing most recent grade level completed, stamped by the school; placement tests details should follow item 3 admission policy. 9. Egyptians coming from abroad should have a school report card for previous 2 years stamped by the Egyptian Embassy; placement tests will be corrected within 1 week; parents are notified of test scores within 2 weeks after the assessment; grading is 86%-100% within average, 60%-85% below average; an F may lead to rescheduling and a summer course if requested.

CMIS is a girls' day school in Cairo, Egypt, offering an American curriculum with Advanced Placement. The core program follows Common Core standards and aligns with the vision, enabling teachers to tailor texts and activities to foster creativity and higher‑order thinking. From Pre-K through Grade 12, students study language arts, mathematics, science aligned to Next Generation Science Standards, social studies, French and German, physical education, art, music, computer studies, and Qur'an. In grades 11–12, CMIS offers AP courses and electives such as Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Business, Environmental Science, Advanced Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Management and Statistics. SAT I and II, and national subjects, also form part of assessment goals. The campus comprises a building with two labs, three libraries, a clinic, art and music rooms, and an auditorium, plus a semi‑Olympic pool, basketball and tennis courts, and a gym. Distinctive features include on-site mosques and partnerships with Goethe Institute and ÄDK.
