Character Education and the SkillUp Programme guide pupils from Foundation Stage through Year 12 to develop a strong moral compass, leadership abilities, and lifelong values. Integrity, Respect, and Caring are core values taught as part of Ethos's Character Education. Character development runs Foundation Stage to Year 9 with the SkillUp Programme for Years 10–12, plus College & Career Readiness Tracks. Experiential experiences such as Stay and Play Sessions, Sleepovers & Camps, and Service Learning & Campaigns build empathy, teamwork, and social responsibility. The program aims to graduate emotionally intelligent, socially responsible, and ethically grounded individuals who lead, serve, and thrive in a complex world.
Learning Support provides inclusive education for pupils with mild learning disabilities, language barriers, non-traditional learning styles, or sensory needs. Support runs Foundation Stage through Year 9 and includes in-class support, small group and one-to-one interventions, and social-emotional support, with targeted instruction in English, Math, and Arabic for Years 1–2. From Year 10 onward, targeted learning support interventions are not offered, but accommodation arrangements for IGCSE and A‑Level exams may be provided. Support pathways include Teacher Referral, Parent Referral, Screening & Review, and, when needed, an Individual Education Plan. Collaboration with teachers, parents, and external professionals underpins inclusive education and accessibility.
Language barriers that hinder curriculum access are addressed through Learning Support. In Years 1–2, in-class and small group interventions include English, Math, and Arabic. Language & Literacy in Foundation Stage uses Read Write Inc. phonics to build reading and writing skills, and the EYFS framework is followed. The school teaches English as the language of instruction through its British International School program, with English-language literacy as a core component.
The Counselling & Pupils' Support Office provides a dedicated space to support emotional, social, and psychological wellbeing. The approach is holistic and aims to ensure every pupil feels emotionally safe and empowered academically, socially, and personally. Staff support anxiety, loneliness, peer conflict, grief, and other wellbeing needs with warmth, guidance, and respect. The school advocates a whole-school wellbeing culture in collaboration with teachers and families. The aim is to develop resilience and coping skills alongside academic progress.
Ethos has a strict visitor policy as part of safeguarding; visitors must have pre-arranged appointments and check in at security. The school provides safe transport and monitors to safeguard pupils during travel to and from school. The safeguarding framework covers daily operations, including visitors and transportation; handbooks and policies communicate safeguarding measures to families.
