Gateway International Montessori School is located in Katameya Gardens Compound, New Cairo, Egypt. It is described as the first International school in Cairo to provide a unique and comprehensive blend of British Education with a taste of Montessori under one roof. The school serves students from ages 3 to 18, with Montessori and American curriculum programs in the early years and elementary, and the International Baccalaureate pathway in Grades 11 and 12. Gateway emphasizes family involvement as a core element of its community and home partnership. The school outlines seven dimensions for family–school partnerships: communicating; connecting learning at home and at school; building community and identity; recognizing the role of the family; consultative decision-making; collaborating beyond the school; and participating.
Gateway has a Parent Teacher Association (PTA). A post dated December 3, 2020 announces the newly elected PTA and signals the aim of partnership and collaboration. Gateway also held a PTA Orientation Session for the 2025–26 academic year to welcome and engage parents in school activities.

The school is an IB World School offering MYP and DP, with graduates able to earn an American High School Diploma.
