Canteen is available for lunch purchases. A healthy snack/breakfast and a lunch are expected; the lunch cost is around 50 LE.
There are four houses: ruby, diamond, topaz and emerald. Students are allocated to a house at the beginning of Year 6 and remain in that house until they leave the school. House meetings and inter-house competitions are held, with House Points awarded and trophies presented at the end of the year.

GEMS British International School Madinaty is a British international school for learners aged 2 to 17 that delivers the English National Curriculum with a strong STEAM focus.
