History

GEMS British School Al Rehab (GEMS TBS) was founded in 2001 and is one of the oldest British schools in Egypt, located in Rehab City, New Cairo. It provides a respectful, nurturing and creative learning environment with high standards of education for every student. The school has achieved some of the highest IGCSE scores in Cairo and is student‑centred, designing activities to develop creativity and curiosity. Global citizenship and character development are central to its approach. GEMS TBS joined the GEMS Education family of schools, gaining access to a diverse team of professionals and new opportunities for its students.

Community

The campus covers just under 9,000 square metres and accommodates around 1,000 students, with facilities including specialised activity rooms, a mid‑size football field, and a multipurpose hall used for yearly displays. Students benefit from exclusive year‑round access to Rehab city's sporting club, expanding the range of activities available. From the moment you enter, there is a strong sense of community, and some students have been at TBS for over 10 years, making the school feel like a second home.

GEMS British School Al Rehab (GEMS TBS) is a well‑established British international school located in Rehab City, New Cairo.
