The school is fully authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization to implement the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and is Cognia-accredited. Hayah West opened in 2022 with Pre-K to Grade 6 and will grow into a full K-12 school, with the first cohort graduating in 2029. The curriculum includes PS–Grade 5, Middle School, and High School. The MS/HS annual program School Without Walls provides learning outside the classroom and includes service action in every trip.
Arabic Culture Night is included in Hayah West's School Events. The School Events page lists Arabic Culture Night as a scheduled event and Hayah West Carnival as part of campus activities. These events engage students with Arabic culture and language through on-campus programming.
Hayah West offers day trips and overnight camps locally and internationally. Trips are designed to complement the student's educational development and are attended by all students. The MS/HS annual program School Without Walls expands learning beyond the classroom, with service-action elements included in every trip. Students may travel around Egypt and the world as part of these experiences to support practical, experiential learning.
The Character Education Program includes participation in community service, such as a Winter Clothes Drive in collaboration with the PTA and Ramadan charitable initiatives like Maidat Al-Rahman and Iftar meals distributed during Ramadan in collaboration with the PTA. The program fosters an emotionally and socially safe environment and works with parents to deliver wellbeing and CE awareness sessions. It emphasizes applying core values through service and social responsibility.
The Character Education Program includes launching Hayah West Entrepreneur Fair for Students. The program aims to help students become moral, caring, critical, and responsible individuals. Staff take on roles as teachers, coaches, mentors, and activity coordinators to support leadership development.
The program prioritizes emotional and social wellbeing and provides an emotionally and socially safe environment for students. It emphasizes self-reflection, proactive citizenship, and holistic development and reinforces these through one-on-one and group discussions, reflections, activities, trips, camps, and weekend events. Parents and guardians participate in wellbeing sessions and CE awareness sessions as part of the school's approach to student welfare.
Hayah International Academy West is an international school in Egypt offering Pre-K to Grade 6 initially, with plans to grow to a full K-12 program. The 38,000 square meter campus combines ample outdoor space with modern facilities. Every classroom features a smart board or data projector, and ICT operates with open-source policies and BYO devices. Two computer labs, each with 25 computers, support digital learning, and iPads are used in PYP classrooms. Early childhood and elementary areas have dedicated playgrounds and green spaces to encourage exploration. The school provides IB programs across the continuum (PYP, MYP and DP) alongside an American Curriculum, with Cognia accreditation as an American school achieved by 2024. The campus includes a multi-purpose sports building, four outdoor fields, a semi-Olympic pool and a children's pool. The School Without Walls program, Arabic Culture Night, and the Character Education Initiative emphasize learning, culture, service, and wellbeing for students.
