The Lycée Français d'Alexandrie is a French international school in Chatby, Alexandria, run by Mission Laïque Française (MLF Monde) and affiliated with AEFE. It follows a French homologated curriculum with French as the base language and hosts an American International Section that is bilingual and bicultural through cooperation with the United States. The American section adds English language and American culture components, while the standard timetable is 30 hours weekly for sixth grade; the section includes American language and literature, with total English and Arabic instruction of six hours. Examinations for the Diplôme National du Brevet and the Baccalauréat include components linked to the American program, and the International Section leads to a diploma with the American option recognized in Anglo-Saxon higher education. Entry to the International Section is decided by an eligibility commission. The school operates across two sites, Pharaons for elementary and Chatby for higher levels, with a CDI library, a science laboratory, and a music program. Extracurriculars include a student journal for HGGSP and a YouTube channel.
