1. Online pre-inscriptions for new students open February 13, 2026. Create an account and upload the required documents on the Skolengo pre-registration platform. The pre-registration window runs from February 13 to March 29, 2026. After March 29, 2026, the Skolengo platform will no longer be accessible. 2. Interviews with families. Between February 13 and March 29, 2026, admission for students from Petite Section to CE2 (inclusive) will be subject to an interview with the Primary Director (parents, child, and director). The interviews involve discussion with the family and child to gather information and assess fit with the program. Parents and the child should attend the interview. 3. Admissions committee decision notice. From March 30 to April 2, 2026, the admissions committee will meet. An email with the committee's decision (favorable/waitlisted/unfavorable) will be sent to the personal email address provided on Skolengo on April 5, 2026. The decision will indicate whether the applicant is admitted, placed on the waiting list, or declined. 4. Final enrollment of admitted students. Until April 13, 2026. Parents of admitted students must complete definitive enrollment on Skolengo and pay the first enrollment fee online (in euros, in a single upfront payment, non-refundable). The first enrollment fee is 1,350 EUR for French nationals and 2,470 EUR for other nationalities. Fees are payable online and the payment is non-refundable. 5. Sending of the enrollment confirmation to parents of admitted students. The accounting department will verify payment of the first enrollment fee and an enrollment confirmation email will be sent to the parents of admitted students. The confirmation confirms definitive enrollment.
The admissions decision can be favorable, on the waiting list, or unfavorable; the decision notification is sent by email on April 5, 2026 to the address provided on Skolengo.
Scholarships on social criteria may be awarded to families of French nationality. The first scholarship campaigns for 2025-2026 ran January 21, 2025 to February 10, 2025, and the second campaign ran August 25 to September 7, 2025. Applications require contacting the Consulate General of France in Cairo and submitting a paper dossier by appointment with the consulate's social service. All families must provide the necessary documents for 2024. Scholarships are not a guaranteed entitlement; they are awarded each year within allocated credits. They cover only the fees of enrollment, annual tuition, and the first enrollment fee (paracurricular scholarships may be granted exceptionally). The application must be renewed each year.
Located in Cairo, Lycée Français du Caire is an AEFE-directly managed French international school serving ages 3 to 18 across four campuses: Maadi, Zamalek, New Cairo and Mearag. It delivers the French Ministry of National Education curriculum, with tronc commun, enseignements de spécialité and enseignements optionnels. Since 2023/24, terminale students may pursue the Baccalauréat Français International (BFI) in three bilingual tracks: French–English, French–English–Spanish, and French–English–Arabic. SELO sections offer European and Oriental language pathways, including a European British track and an Arabic language option. The school provides Accompagnement au choix de l'orientation and Accompagnement personnalisé to support higher‑education planning, plus a Local Plan for Évaluation to standardize terminal‑cycle assessment. With about 2,000 students, LFC welcomes French expatriates and other nationalities and serves as an examination center for the DNB and Baccalauréat, as well as the Certificat International de Maîtrise en Arabe (CIMA). A broad range of clubs complements the curriculum well.
