A dress code is in place: students attend in clothing appropriate for school activities, proper and decent. The sport outfit intended for physical education (PE) classes is mandatory and strictly reserved for PE.
The Mearag site has catering provided by an external provider. A cafeteria is open daily during class hours offering various snacks and drinks to students and staff. The canteen is open daily in two lunch services at midday; a meal ticket costs 150 EGP. Maadi, New Cairo and Zamalek sites provide breakfast for all kindergarten students, served in class.
Direct management by AEFE; the Lycée Français du Caire operates across four sites: Mearag, Maadi, New Cairo and Zamalek. It is affiliated with the Mission Laïque Française and is rattaché to the Académie de Grenoble. It serves as an examination center for the Diplôme National du Brevet (DNB) and the Baccalauréat for Egypt, Jordan, Djibouti, Ethiopia and Burundi, and is an approved center for the Certificat International de Maîtrise en Arabe (CIMA).
Located in Cairo, Lycée Français du Caire is an AEFE-directly managed French international school serving ages 3 to 18 across four campuses: Maadi, Zamalek, New Cairo and Mearag. It delivers the French Ministry of National Education curriculum, with tronc commun, enseignements de spécialité and enseignements optionnels. Since 2023/24, terminale students may pursue the Baccalauréat Français International (BFI) in three bilingual tracks: French–English, French–English–Spanish, and French–English–Arabic. SELO sections offer European and Oriental language pathways, including a European British track and an Arabic language option. The school provides Accompagnement au choix de l'orientation and Accompagnement personnalisé to support higher‑education planning, plus a Local Plan for Évaluation to standardize terminal‑cycle assessment. With about 2,000 students, LFC welcomes French expatriates and other nationalities and serves as an examination center for the DNB and Baccalauréat, as well as the Certificat International de Maîtrise en Arabe (CIMA). A broad range of clubs complements the curriculum well.
