Billing schedule and payment terms

- Billing rhythm for 2026/2027: two periods (semesters). 1st semester is payable on 1 October; 2nd semester is payable on 1 February. The school issues semester invoices accordingly.
- The school counts the academic year over 10 months and treats fees as an annual forfait; in the case of arrival or definitive departure during a billed period, fees are calculated prorata temporis with the general rule that any month started is due. Re‑registration is validated only if the previous year's outstanding sums are settled by the deadlines indicated.
- Late payment: two reminders are issued; after continued non‑payment the school may initiate recovery procedures, apply interest at the legal rate increased by 5%, and charge families for recovery costs.

Boarding fees

- The Lycée Français du Caire does not list or operate boarding (internat) services; no boarding fees are included in the school's financial regulations. Transport and catering services are provided and billed separately (see next section).

Other costs and ancillary fees

- Demi‑pension (school lunch), transport (school bus), school trips (voyages pédagogiques), manuals and school supplies, and certain extracurricular or activity costs are billed separately from the tuition. - School trips: balances (reliquats) from trips are credited to family accounts; families may request reimbursement of any positive balances by providing bank details (RIB).
- Family discount: an abatement of 30% on tuition applies from the third child in the same family; the reduction applies starting with the youngest child.
- Bursaries: eligible French nationals registered at the Consulat Général de France au Caire may apply for school bursaries that can cover all or part of tuition, first‑registration fees and exam fees; bursaries can also cover transport, demi‑pension (self service only) and manuals/furnishings where awarded.
- Uniforms: no mandatory uniform fee line item is shown in the financial regulations; costs for personal equipment, optional uniform items if any, and sports kit are treated as family expenses or as part of supplies. Manuals and supplies are charged under “entretien” where applicable.

Refunds and cancellations

- First‑registration fees are payable at registration and are non‑refundable.
- Tuition and other charges are treated as an annual forfait with prorata application on arrival/departure; the general rule is that any month started is due. Residual credits from trip accounts may be refunded on request with RIB.

Fee payment options and practical payment details

- Currency: invoices are issued in euros. Families are required to pay in euros; by special derogation, Egyptian families who were registered before 2023/2024 with uninterrupted attendance may pay in Egyptian pounds under the official chancery exchange rate at the date of collection.
- Accepted means of payment: online payment portal, bank transfer to the school's French treasury account (TGE) or to the school's Euro account in Egypt, local bank cheque (subject to bank charges borne by the payer), and exceptionally cash up to the legal ceiling (EUR 300). The school provides IBAN and SWIFT details for its French and Egyptian accounts on invoices and in its financial regulation.
- If an employer or third party will pay, the school requires an employer “prise en charge” attestation (a signed form) and will invoice the named payer; families remain ultimately responsible if the third party does not pay. Payment schedules, including any authorised monthly instalment plan, require a signed written schedule and, where applicable, bank domiciliation.

Located in Cairo, Lycée Français du Caire is an AEFE-directly managed French international school serving ages 3 to 18 across four campuses: Maadi, Zamalek, New Cairo and Mearag. It delivers the French Ministry of National Education curriculum, with tronc commun, enseignements de spécialité and enseignements optionnels. Since 2023/24, terminale students may pursue the Baccalauréat Français International (BFI) in three bilingual tracks: French–English, French–English–Spanish, and French–English–Arabic. SELO sections offer European and Oriental language pathways, including a European British track and an Arabic language option. The school provides Accompagnement au choix de l'orientation and Accompagnement personnalisé to support higher‑education planning, plus a Local Plan for Évaluation to standardize terminal‑cycle assessment.
