English is taught from the first year of primary school (CP). From the fifth grade, students may choose between German and Spanish. In elementary, a foreign language is taught and may include an introduction to linguistic diversity. In the collège and lycée, English, Spanish, and German are taught as foreign languages, under a two cultures and three languages framework.
Lycée Français International Simone de Beauvoir is a French international school in Egypt serving ages 2 to 18. It operates under Mission Laïque Française (MLF) and AEFE, delivering the French national education program from preschool through lycée, with the option to sit the French baccalaureate and the Egyptian baccalaureate. Instruction is in French, with Arabic and English used for communication to support plurilingual, intercultural education. The curriculum emphasizes cycles and interdisciplinary projects (EPI) and integrates orientation and higher-education planning through Parcoursup calendars and Onisep resources. Since 2002, it has balanced French instruction with Egyptian identity, offering English from early years and German or Spanish from the 5e; homologation across all levels was granted in 2014. Facilities include a BCD and a CDI to provide library and information resources. PEAC promotes artistic development and cultural activities, including poetry festivals and artistic initiatives. The school also offers pathways to IG, American, or IB systems as appropriate.
