Admissions Policy: PYP 1 accepts without academic prerequisites; prospective students at these levels are interviewed and must be toilet-trained and able to speak and follow simple instructions. All other prospective students take relevant assessment tests in a number of subjects to determine if the student has attained the minimum standard for each subject. MHIS then makes final placement decisions and can offer special academic support at its discretion. Appointments for assessment testing can be made by contacting the admission office through the school phone numbers or email address. Admissions Process: 1. Admission Application filled out. 2. Copies of transcripts of previous school work must be submitted during application, or at assessment if online. 3. Student takes entrance exams in English and Math. 4. Interview with both parents. 5. Test results and former school records are used to assist in class placement scheduling. Registration Requirements: Completed Registration Form (or Online Registration). Original Birth Certificate or copy of passport (for foreign students). Medical Certificate/Report. From previous school: Official transcript and/or originals of relevant documents. Admissions Payment Form (completed by the Administration and signed by both Administration and parent). 6 passport photos (size 4x6). From a non-American English Language school: the student's age must be appropriate for grade level. Denial of admission may be due to incomplete transcripts/records, low admission test scores and/or poor academic records, a history of disciplinary problems or substance abuse problems, or if classes at MHIS have reached their maximum enrollment numbers. FAQ: Opening times are 7:45am start; students should be at school by 7:40am; school ends 2:30pm Sunday–Wednesday and 12:30pm on Thursday. Thursday Extra Curricular Activities (ECA) run from 12:30pm to 2:45pm. Buses are available; a form can be requested from reception after the parent interview. Uniform: Dark blue trousers for all sections; pink polo shirt for PYP 1–3 and light blue for PYP 4–8.

Manaret Heliopolis International School (MHIS) is an Egyptian international school serving students aged 3 to 17. It is IB World School offering PYP, MYP and DP, alongside the American Curriculum and AP courses, with a DP pathway that includes a US High School Diploma.
