Our vision and mission define the MHIS community as one that fosters lifelong learning, open-mindedness, tolerance, and pride in identity and culture. MHIS hosts a range of community events such as The Egyptian Culture and Identity, Battery Recycling Campaign, KidZania Trip (PYP 3), Fayoum Camp, Lemon Day, and Pajama Day (PYP 1). The school emphasizes collaboration among students, parents, and staff as part of its inclusive, STEM-oriented learning environment.
The Action Team for Partnership (ATP) is a core element of the PYP programme and a valued partner. It is an elected body representing our community as a combination of parents, teachers, administration and the board. Elections begin in April each year, with newly elected members joining the current committee for the last month of the academic year to hand over; new members assume roles in the new academic year. The ATP's goal is to foster a sense of community by supporting all stakeholders, it meets on the first Sunday of every month and the minutes are available to all stakeholders; the ATP is self-funded and raises money through events; ATP events are self-organized and school resources used are paid for by the ATP. The ATP is not a complaints forum; complaints are handled by the Parent Liaison Officer.
