Extra-curricular activities are an integral part of the New Horizon International School Programme. They provide opportunities to explore beyond the traditional curriculum, making the school experience more enjoyable, educational and memorable. The Heart to Heart Programme brings international youth experiences to the school community. During the school year, a variety of activities is offered, including guitar lessons, dance, etiquette, drama, jazz, yoga and mindfulness, gardening, arts and crafts, and leather work, all taught by trained professionals. The Self-Awareness Programme, launched in 2007, includes guidelines for self-discipline and respect, yoga practice, resolution of everyday challenges, non-violence and compassion, hygiene and nutrition, well-rounded health, and creative attention and relaxation techniques.
New Horizon International School is an English-medium day school in Cairo, Egypt offering the British curriculum alongside Egyptian studies for a diverse student body aged 4 to 18. The International Department prepares students for Cambridge IGCSE and Edexcel qualifications, starting at Reception and progressing to Lower Senior Two before the Core IG programme leads to IGCSE results. In addition to Arabic, Religion and Social Studies under the Egyptian National Curriculum, French is taught as a second language from Reception.
