Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

1. Admission Test: Students will first undergo an admission test to assess their academic readiness. The test is the initial step in the admissions process. The test results help determine eligibility to proceed. 2. Personal Interview: Following the written assessment, students will participate in a personal interview to further evaluate their suitability for the school environment. The interview assesses how well the student fits the school community. It complements the admission test in the evaluation process. 3. Parent Interview: Parents will also go through a personal interview to discuss their expectations and commitment to the school community. The interview ensures alignment between family and school. It provides an opportunity for parents to share their involvement plans and support. 4. Acceptance Decision: If the student successfully passes both the written and oral assessments, they will be accepted into the appropriate grade level, provided there is a vacant spot. Acceptance is contingent on the availability of space in the class. The decision follows completion of all required assessments. The process leads to formal acceptance if criteria are met. 5. Waiting List: If the desired class is full, the student will be placed on a waiting list for future openings. The waiting list keeps applicants in consideration for upcoming seats. The policy ensures a path to admission when space becomes available. The waiting list continues until a place becomes available.

Sama American School delivers a dual curriculum that combines the American curriculum with an enriched Egyptian national program, taught in a bilingual learning environment. The school serves students aged 3 to 18 and operates in Egypt as an international institution that integrates U.S.-style instruction with local standards. Established in 2006 as Sama Misr School, it has grown into a campus that supports varied interests through extensive extracurricular activities. On-site facilities include classrooms, a swimming pool, a science lab, and a Creative Zone that supports hands-on, project-based learning across subjects. The sports program features football (soccer) and swimming, with Sports Day celebrating teamwork and fitness. A distinctive element is participation in science and technology clubs and the Intel ISEF Egypt Fair, alongside music and art clubs. Community service projects and field trips connect learning to local communities and real-world experiences for lifelong learning and global readiness in a changing world today.
