Meals are cooked fresh every day. Kindergarten meals are included, with a separate menu for younger children. Primary school students can choose from a daily changing menu and purchase meals in the cafeteria using digital watches; Blue Lounge supplies the meals and meals are adapted to individual needs and preferences.
The school is part of the Saxony International School network, operating abroad with a German curriculum. It partners with its German partner SIS in Germany and with GGB – Gesellschaft zur ganzheitlichen Bildung (Society for Holistic Education). Cooperation includes student exchanges, pen-pal programs, and the option for Abitur in Germany.
Saxony International School Cairo West is a German international school and kindergarten in Cairo that follows an innovative German curriculum alongside the IB Diploma Programme. The IB DP is offered after Grade 11 and 12 and is taught in German; it is equivalent to the Abitur and enables access to German universities. In cooperation with Germany, Abitur can be completed at SIS grammar schools in Germany, with opportunities for exchanges. The school is part of the Saxony International School network, rooted in Germany since 2009 and in Cairo since 2021 as the first SIS abroad to offer the curriculum. The learning concept is built on pillars including social competence, media competence, business competence, foreign languages, general education, and holistic education. Foreign languages include German, Arabic, Spanish and Chinese. The campus features the Art Classroom, Library, Music Room, Snoozle room, Mensa, and Workroom, plus outdoor facilities: Soccer field, Gymnasium, and Pool.
