The International School of Choueifat – City of 6 October is an English-medium day school serving local and international communities. The comprehensive curriculum is based on both the American and the British educational systems and prepares students to sit the American Exams (SAT I & II, TOEFL, AP) as well as the British exams (IGCSE, O Level, AS and A Levels). The SABIS Student Life Organization provides a forum to organize time and develop life skills, empowering students to make a difference in their lives and in their societies. The school was founded in 2003 and is a member of the SABIS network.
Art is a central part of school life at ISC-6 October. The school has two large specialist art rooms and two art teachers; all students have art classes from Kindergarten through Grade 7, and Grades 8 and 9 choose between art and music. The Art curriculum introduces artists and art movements and offers a wide range of techniques, including silkscreen printing, batik art, sand mandala, wood block printing, pottery painting, sculpture mosaic, drawing/painting in mixed media, graffiti, and recycling. Students may participate in art-related clubs offered by the SABIS® Student Life Organization (SLO) and there is an annual Art Gallery; senior students may take an art portfolio class as an elective.
Clubs focus on language and culture, including Arabic History, This Is Egypt, French Intro, and French Club. The SABIS® Student Life Organization supports language and cultural activities, with Model United Nations Program and Public Speaking among the options. These clubs broaden intercultural awareness and language exposure for ISC-6 October students.
ISC-6 October offers a variety of clubs and activities during the school day and after school, with between 200 and 250 activities per week. Clubs include Nature Club, Chess Club, Model United Nations, Science Club, Drama, Public Speaking, Fashion Club, Recycling Club, Travel Club, Sewing, Storytelling, Music Club, Library Club, Health & Fitness, and more. Students engage in sports, arts, debates, technology, and hobby groups to develop new skills and have fun.
The SABIS® Student Life Organization emphasizes Social Responsibility, Outreach, and Giving Back Initiatives. It organizes campaigns such as Earth Day and Environment Week, fundraisers for local charities, and supports various charitable organizations including Life from Water and Magdy Yacoub Global Heart Foundation, MegaKheir, Baheya Foundation, and El Gameya El Khayreya. The program also coordinates ambassador roles and themed spirit days to help new students integrate into the ISC-6 October community.
SLO fosters essential life skills including Leadership, Problem-Solving, Sociability, Critical thinking, Organization, Grit & Resilience, Independence, Empathy & Tolerance, Communication skills, Collaboration, Team Work, and Accountability. The SLO is integrated into students' schedules as a weekly period, bringing many activities into the classroom and giving students structured opportunities to lead. These experiences develop leadership and professional skills relevant to university and beyond.
The community prioritizes wellbeing through Sports & Wellness events and Health programs organized by the SLO's Sports and Wellness Department. It promotes healthy lifestyles via staff versus student sports matches, intramural sports, and events like Sports & Health Day and the Run-a-thon. The broad range of activities, including sports and wellness, supports students' physical and mental wellbeing.
The International School of Choueifat – City of 6 October is an English‑medium day school founded in 2003 and a SABIS network member. It serves students aged 3–18 and offers a blended curriculum that integrates American and British frameworks, including Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge AS and A Levels, and Advanced Placement. The curriculum develops fluency in English, Arabic, and French, with emphasis on English, mathematics, and science in the secondary years. The SABIS Educational System provides a mastery‑based approach with frequent assessments and a 360‑degree view of progress for students, teachers, and parents, supported by the SABIS Student Life Organization. The campus features sports facilities, a semi‑Olympic pool, a sports hall, and tennis/basketball courts. KG has a building, an indoor pool, and a playground. KG–12 classrooms have Interactive Whiteboards; the ITL Hall houses 167 computers for assessments; a two-level library serves English, Arabic, and French resources with art and music spaces.
