History

Windrose Academy Cairo follows the UK Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) Curriculum, with a blended program that also fulfils the Egyptian Ministry of Education requirements. The curriculum is organized on the five English National Curriculum Key Stages and the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, covering Foundation Stage through AS/A Levels. The school is located on Ring Road – Ain Sukhna Exit, Katameya, Cairo. The first graduating class occurred in 2021, indicating the school was established before that year. Windrose Academy has partnerships with the Egyptian Ministry of Education, the British Council, and Cambridge Assessment/Pearson Edexcel/Oxford AQA for delivering and assessing the British Curriculum.

Community

Windrose Academy runs a busy program of events and cultural activities. Event galleries include KS3 French & German International Day, Egypt Day (2025-2026), Winter Carnival (2024/2025), Ramadan at Windrose, International Day, and graduation ceremonies and performances. The calendar also features sports days and theatre productions such as the FS&KS1 Sports Day and various end‑of‑year productions. Windrose Academy Cairo is an international British curriculum school for ages 3 to 17 that blends the Cambridge International Examinations framework with Egyptian Ministry of Education requirements. The school teaches the Early Years Foundation Stage and five English National Curriculum Key Stages, progressing through Key Stages 1 to 5, including O-Levels, Cambridge AS Levels and Cambridge A Levels. Students prepare for Cambridge Progression Tests and Checkpoints, while Arabic language, social and religious studies are fulfilled for local requirements. The Ring Road – Ain Sukhna Exit campus in Katameya features spacious play areas, three multipurpose courts and a football field, plus classrooms with interactive smart boards, laptops and tablets connected by high-speed internet.
