IB Diploma Programme is offered in English. The school is the first municipal school in Estonia to be granted IB World School status, and the Diploma Programme has been taught since September 2009. The DP comprises six subject groups: Group 1 Studies in language and literature (Estonian – literature; English – language and literature); Group 2 Language acquisition (French B, Russian B, German B); Group 3 Individuals and societies; Group 4 Experimental sciences; Group 5 Mathematics; and Group 6 a subject from Groups 3 or 4. The core components are Extended Essay (EE), Theory of Knowledge (TOK), and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS). The DP ends with international exams, enabling entry to universities worldwide; IB graduates do not have to take Estonian National Exams for admission to Estonian universities.
Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) is a core component of the IB Diploma Programme. The school runs CAS-related activities and has a CAS Co-ordinator to oversee extra-curricular activities. A CAS handbook is available for students. The programme encourages engagement in creative projects and community service as part of the IB framework.

Extra-curricular activities are overseen by the Head of Extra-curricular activities/CAS Co-ordinator. The management team includes a Principal, Head of Studies, IB Coordinator, and Head of Study Centre.
Vision is to become the leader in supporting the development of the Learner and in pedagogical thought. The mission is to be an environment for the versatile development of the Learner, supporting life-long learning and promoting internationalism. Institutions supporting the school are the Tallinn English College Governing Body and Tallinn English College Foundation.

The sports hall was completed in 2007. The school has facilities that support physical activity as part of campus life.
Tallinn English College is a municipal IB World School in Tallinn that provides English-language immersion for students aged 6 to 18. The school operates a three-level campus on Estonia pst 10; the site opened in 1996 and includes a sports hall completed in 2007. It is the oldest English-language immersion school in Estonia and was the first municipal school to gain IB World School status in May 2009. The Diploma Programme has been taught here since September 2009, taught in English and organized around six subject groups: Studies in language and literature, Language acquisition, Individuals and societies, Experimental sciences, Mathematics, and a sixth subject from Groups 3 or 4. The DP core comprises Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge, and Creativity, Activity, and Service. Tallinn English College has been a Candidate for the IB Primary Years Programme since May 2012. IB graduates attend universities worldwide without mandatory Estonian national exams. An active extracurricular program is coordinated around CAS, with Arts and Creative, Cultural and Language, and Community and Service clubs.
