Facilities Overview

The school is located in the European Quarter of Strasbourg. It offers a complete curriculum from nursery to S7 and delivers the European Baccalaureate. The maternelle and primaire include dedicated spaces for arts, music, ICT, and a teaching kitchen; the school has a new gym beside the building with three large rooms including a dance space. The primary houses about 350 students across 15 classes (5 francophone, 5 anglophone and 5 germanophone) and a library supported by a librarian in three languages. Restauration scolaire provides daily meals with weekly menus and dietary accommodations; périscolaire offers after-school care via UFCV.

Sports Facilities

The gym beside the school provides three large spaces including a dance room. Sports are organized through UNSS with activities such as badminton, hockey, skateboard and table tennis, and annual sport days. The school runs sport-related trips such as Bombannes, where S6 students pursued surfing, catamaraning, and windsurfing. Open tennis de table events have been held at the Centre Sportif des Droits de l'Homme.

Academic Facilities

The school follows the European Schools' curriculum from M1 to S7 and delivers the European Baccalaureate. Instruction is delivered in three linguistic sections – anglophone, francophone and germanophone – with identical programs across sections; language 2, 3 and 4 are taught accordingly. The primary program emphasizes language 1, mathematics, a foreign language starting in year 1, and discovery of the world, with arts, music, sport, religion or ethics, and European hours integrated. Facilities include spaces for arts, music, ICT, a teaching kitchen, and a library.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Robotics is offered through Robotic Workshops, with two sessions (P5 and S1/P5/S4) and the first EES Robotic Team earning prizes at a VEX IQ competition. The school hosts cultural and European-related events, including a Viennese Ball for secondary students. Art and science excursions are showcased in school news, such as Yayoi Kusama exhibitions. Open table tennis events have been held at the Centre Sportif des Droits de l'Homme. The school participates in eTwinning projects and holds the label of eTwinning School.

The European School Strasbourg is a public local institution of international education (EPLEI) serving pupils from age 4 to 18. It operates in Strasbourg's European Quarter with three linguistic sections: German-speaking, English-speaking and French-speaking, delivering the European School curriculum with identical syllabuses across sections. Nursery to primary to S7 culminate in the European Baccalaureate, a qualification recognised across the EU and in many other countries; the Examining Board is chaired by a university professor and includes examiners from EU countries. The school began in 2008, moved to its current site in 2015 and has been an EPLEI since 2019 under the European School Office standards, awarding the Baccalaureate. Facilities include dedicated spaces for arts, music, ICT and a teaching kitchen in the early years, plus a library in three languages and a gym with a dance room. A daily school menu with dietary accommodations is offered, and after-school care is available. Extracurriculars include Robotic Workshops, eTwinning projects, cultural events such as a Viennese Ball and sport-related activities and trips.
