Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

The Mouratoglou International School was born from Patrick Mouratoglou's experience with the rigidity of a standardized education system, and it was created to adapt the system to the child. It is located in Sophia Antipolis, near Nice, and offers two sections (French and American) with a Dual Diploma. The school operates on a 12-hectare campus that is ultra-secure and purpose-built, fostering a multicultural environment with more than 45 nationalities. The Mouratoglou Methodology emphasizes listening, adaptation, demanding standards, proving results, and ongoing progress. Since 2016, Mouratoglou International School has graduated 300+ students, with high pass rates (98% baccalaureate, 100% DNB, 100% High School Diploma) and strong university placements (91% of students obtain scholarships), with around 35 students placed each year.

Community

MIS creates a bilingual campus community where two sections share facilities and live in a culturally immersive environment with over 45 nationalities. Daily cultural immersion and cross-section collaboration expose students to English language and the best of both French and American traditions, including graduation celebrations and the Yearbook. Campus life ends formal classes at 3:30 p.m., with options for arts, tech, and multisport activities, plus supervised study for those who want extra reinforcement. The campus places a strong emphasis on well-being and safety, with a private, guarded site and on-site health services to support academic and personal development.
