Per-instalment billing (re-enrolment schedule and example instalments)
- Re-enrolment invoices are issued in February each year. For re-enrolment, the published payment schedule is two instalments: Instalment 1 = 40% of the annual Tuition Fee and Instalment 2 = 60% of the annual Tuition Fee. Instalment due dates given for the re-enrolment schedule are 2 March 2026 (40%) and 29 May 2026 (60%). Amounts for those instalments are calculated from the annual fees as follows:
- Early Years: 40% = €12,800; 60% = €19,200.
- Primary & Lower Secondary: 40% = €15,800; 60% = €23,700.
- Upper Secondary: 40% = €16,400; 60% = €24,600.
Term-equivalent amounts (simple division of annual fee into three terms)
- If the annual fee is divided into three equal school terms, the term-equivalent amounts are:
- Early Years: €10,666.67 per term (annual ÷ 3).
- Primary & Lower Secondary: €13,166.67 per term (annual ÷ 3).
- Upper Secondary: €13,666.67 per term (annual ÷ 3).
What the Tuition Fee includes
- Annual tuition fees include: tuition; stationery, books and learning materials; school lunches; in-school technology and learning technology access; and school trips within Monaco.
Additional / optional charges
- School uniforms are not included in the Tuition Fee and must be paid for separately.
- Additional fees may be charged for musical instrument lessons, some extracurricular and enrichment activities, and for any additional learning support required beyond standard provision; these are charged on an individual basis.
- Students who join mid-year are charged a pro-rated portion of the Tuition Fee according to the school's late-registration percentages: up to end of December = 100% of annual fee; on or after 1 January but prior to 1 April = 60% of annual fee; on or after 1 April = 30% of annual fee.
Billing schedule and payment terms
- Application Fee is payable at the application stage. Registration Fee is due within seven days of the registration invoice and a place is reserved only once the Registration Fee has been paid. Tuition Fee for each year is invoiced (the first year invoiced on a one-time basis; payment stages will be shown on the invoice). Re-enrolment invoices are issued in February with the re-enrolment instalment schedule described above. Only when total fees have been paid by the expected date will a student be permitted to attend.
Refund and withdrawal policy
- The Application Fee and Registration Fee are non-refundable. The Tuition Fee is non-refundable. Under the school's terms, under no circumstances will School Fees be refunded for cancelled enrolment, withdrawal, or early departure. If a student leaves and later wishes to return, a new application and payment of the then-applicable Application Fee and Registration Fee are required.
Fee payment options and payer conditions
- Accepted payment methods: bank transfer to MODELEX SARL at BNP Paribas (IBAN: MC58 3000 4091 7000 0105 4308 376, BIC: BNPAMCM1XXX) or cheque payable to MODELEX drawn on a bank in Monaco or France. No cash payments are accepted.
- If a third party is paying, the payer must be a relative or a company/entity with a declaration form and supporting documentation; the school may request identification of the ultimate beneficial owner and additional banking information. Payments must generally come from the person registered as a parent unless the required declaration forms are completed and accepted.
Boarding
- Boarding is not provided. The school operates daytime hours (school day begins at 09:00 with children received from 08:45 and the day ending at 15:15, with flexible pick-up until 15:45). All published practical information describes day-school operation.
Other key practical points on fees
- The school reserves the right to charge separately for external assessments and any additional support or services arranged with outside agencies; such charges are payable by parents.
- A place for the following year is only reserved once the first re-enrolment instalment has been received by the due date; the place is definitively secured when the second instalment is received by its due date.
Located in Monaco, The British School of Monaco opened in November 2022 as a family‑run school delivering a British Curriculum with English‑language instruction at the heart of every classroom. The school follows the English National Curriculum, adapted for local characteristics, and is accredited and recognised as a Cambridge school. A broad Cambridge pathway for Years 7–11 leads to IGCSEs, followed by A‑Levels, with English as the language of instruction throughout. French is taught from Year 1 to Year 6, and the school offers an Individual Programme to tailor secondary, IGCSE and A‑Level pathways to individual learners. The campus comprises a primary site with indoor spaces and a nearby recreation area at the Modelex site, owned by the school and recognised by authorities, with a planned secondary site atop a cliff beside Jardin Exotique connected by a lift to shorten travel between sites. Facilities include spacious classrooms for up to sixteen pupils, whiteboards and interactive smartboards, a well‑stocked library and access to a swimming pool and local stadia for PE. The school runs a house system, a diverse enrichment programme, and participates in activities such as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, off‑site trips, and reading initiatives.
