The school provides classroom teachers with research-based intervention strategies that support students' social and emotional health. There is a Counsellor in Elementary, Middle and High School who addresses transitions, academic success, personal and social development, and future planning. Counsellors work closely with different departments and maintain close communication with faculty to ensure the delivery of effective and supportive services to all students and families. The counselling programme respects students' values and beliefs while addressing the developmental needs of every student. Students are welcome to speak to the Counsellor about issues; the Counselling department also offers parent support through coffee mornings, courses, newsletters or in person.
The school has an Inclusion Policy.
The English as an Additional Language (EAL) Programme ensures non-native English speakers have equitable access to the academic curriculum and to social life. EAL students receive support and specialized instruction both in and out of class, including small group lessons, in-class support and after-school English Immersion Classes. Collaboration between the EAL teacher, advisory or classroom teachers, subject teachers, students and parents supports language development in a supportive environment. The programme aims to integrate students linguistically until they no longer require help to participate fully in academic and social activities.
