The Spelling Bee is scheduled for June 15, 2026 (6th grade), June 17, 2026 (5th grade), and June 18, 2026 (4th grade). The A' class visited the Police Station on Bayerstraße 14 to learn about police work, see the holding cell, take fingerprints, and sit in a patrol car. As part of the eTwinning program with partner schools in Romania, Italy, Greece and Germany, the 5th grade presented Pontian culture, including Pontian history and authentic traditional costumes (Zipka and Zoupouna), the belt (lachori), and the small hat (tápaki). The 25 March 1821 national celebration was organized by the 5th grade with recitations, short plays, and choir songs, followed by a flag ceremony and a parade.

Academic & Intellectual

1) Enrollment Day for 1st Grade (2026-2027). On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, enrollment for the 1st Grade for the next school year 2026-2027 takes place. The attendance of both parents and child is required from 14:30 to 18:30 at the school premises. Parental and child presence on that day is mandatory.

2) Mandatory enrollment groups. Mandatory enrollment applies to specific birth cohorts: a) Children born between October 1, 2019 and June 30, 2020; b) Children born between July 1, 2020 and September 30, 2020 – Einschulungskorridor – parents, after discussion and a school recommendation, may decide by April 10, 2026 whether to send the child to the school for the 2026-2027 year; c) Children born between October 1, 2018 and September 30, 2019 who were postponed (Zurückstellung) and did not enter 1st grade in the 2025-2026 year.

3) Early enrollment options. a) Children born October 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020 may enroll early upon parental request and if the child's mental and physical development allows it, subject to a readiness test by a panel of teachers at the school. b) Children born January 1, 2021 and later may enroll early upon parental request and if there is a psychologist's report (Schulpsychologisches Gutachten).

4) Required enrollment documents. The documents required are: 1) Birth certificate or German birth certificate; 2) Family status certificate; 3) The child's passport and the parents'/guardians' passports or IDs; 4) Meldebescheinigung (residence certificate) because the school accepts only children from the local catchment area; 5) If parents are divorced, custody and divorce documents; 6) Vaccination booklet (Gelber Impfpass); 7) Health examination certificate for enrollment (Mitteilung der Gesundheitsuntersuchung zur Einschulung); 8) The document Informationen für die Grundschule, if issued by the kindergarten.

5) Informational meeting. On Monday, February 9, 2026 at 18:30, an informational meeting will be held at the school premises to discuss enrollment procedures and to give a tour of the facilities. Parents who wish to enroll their children for the next school year should, before the enrollment on March 11, 2026, bring the necessary enrollment documents to facilitate the process.
