Academic and Intellectual

ibms offers an international, bilingual Montessori education in Frankfurt. The educational path includes Nido (18-36 months), Children's House (3-5 years), and Primary School (6-10 years), each designed to foster independence, concentration and early academic skills. Nido and the Children's House provide bilingual as well as English-only groups, while the Primary School operates in a bilingual setting at all times with two teachers supporting both languages. The Montessori approach emphasizes individual support, holistic education with freedom, and the development of flexibility, social competence and self-esteem to prepare children for future learning.

Arts and Creative

Extra-curricular activities include in-house workshops in arts, theatre, science, movement and creative projects. Workshops on the main campus extend learning, allowing children to deepen interests within a familiar environment. Country house workshops are held twice a year as immersive three-day programs in Sinntal, featuring project-based learning, outdoor activities and collaborative challenges. The programme also includes class trips, sports, and summer camps that broaden creative and practical experiences.

Cultural and Language

ibms hosts children from more than 20 nations, learning together in diverse groups. The school uses immersion to impart language, with Nido and Children's House offering bilingual as well as English-only groups, and the Primary School operating in a bilingual setting at all times with two teachers per class. The international, bilingual, Montessori ethos is designed to open opportunities for the child's future. The classrooms, library and country house are designed to reflect a child-centred worldview and reflect the school's Montessori method.

Social and Hobbies

Learning extends beyond the daily curriculum through movement-based activities and community-building events. The sports program includes regular swimming for confidence and water safety, with optional workshops such as soccer, running and dance. An annual Sports Festival brings the whole school together for athletic activities and team challenges in a joyful, supportive atmosphere. Primary students also participate in a week-long skiing trip to Austria, combining physical activity, independence and community building.

Community and Service

Celebrations and community projects are an important part of ibms, creating meaningful shared experiences and fostering belonging within the school. Seasonal celebrations and collaborative projects encourage creativity, responsibility and teamwork, with milestones celebrated through Graduation ceremonies. Reading Night offers a school sleepover experience that strengthens class bonds and a love of literature. Community engagement includes projects such as Christmas in a Shoebox, Support for Children with Cancer, Help for Ukraine, and the ibms KINDness Shop that collects food donations for people in need.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

Movement is an essential part of development and physical activity is integrated into daily school life. The sports program features swimming classes to build confidence and water safety, plus optional workshops such as soccer, running and dance. The annual Sports Festival and other outdoor activities promote physical fitness, perseverance and team spirit. Country house trips and outdoor learning experiences further support wellbeing, independence and social connection.
