The country house in Sinntal provides an off-campus learning environment surrounded by forests and open landscapes for extended projects.
The school offers Montessori education across Nido (18-36 months), Children's House (3-5 years) and Primary School (6-10 years). In 2019, the school moved into a newly refurbished building designed specifically for children, with light-filled classrooms, age-appropriate furnishings, and clearly structured teaching materials. The environments are modern, child-centered and built to support independence, concentration, movement, collaboration and quiet work. Opening hours are: Nido 7:30–17:00, Children's House 7:30–17:00, Primary School 8:00–16:00 (aftercare 16:00–17:00). This pathway emphasizes depth in subjects, structured work and critical thinking.
The extra-curricular programme at ibms extends learning beyond the daily curriculum and includes sports, workshops, class trips and camps. Sports include regular swimming classes to build confidence and water safety, with optional activities such as soccer, running and dance; the school holds an annual Sports Festival and a skiing trip for Primary students. Workshops extend learning with in-house activities in arts, theatre, science, movement and creative projects; country-house workshops take place twice a year in Sinntal. Class trips to the Sinntal country house begin in Kinderhaus with a five-day residential stay, and shorter visits occur throughout the year for nature projects and festive experiences. Summer Camps offer museum visits, outdoor adventures and creative workshops; celebrations and community activities such as shared traditions, graduation celebrations and Reading Night sleepovers help foster belonging.
International Bilingual Montessori School (ibms) in Frankfurt am Main was founded in 1996 as the city's first bilingual Montessori school. It serves Nido (18–36 months), Children's House (3–5) and Primary School (6–10) on a campus occupying 6,250 m² with 2,450 m² of outdoor space and a 1906 Art Deco villa. The school follows the Montessori method with mixed-age classrooms and a prepared environment, offering Montessori materials across mathematics, language, cosmic education and culture. The Primary curriculum runs from Entry Level through Primary Level (Grades 2–4) with two teachers per class and German–English bilingual immersion; Entry Level has no homework and Primary 2–4 complete most work during school hours. The Hessen curriculum provides academic grounding, while independence, critical thinking and responsibility are cultivated through daily planning, reflection and respectful community life. Off-campus learning occurs at Sinntal country house with immersive projects and outdoor activities. Extracurriculars include sports, arts workshops, trips, camps and community service.
