Fee Breakdown

Fees
Application fees

- No separate one‑time application or registration fee is published for Jan Amos Comenius Grundschule in the school's admission information.

Tuition and regular care fees (by year / term / billing unit)

- Regular full‑day instruction and care (core day 08:30–16:00) is charged as a monthly fee. For the 2026–27 school year the projected monthly amount for school plus care is approximately EUR 780.

- There is an additional monthly catering (Verpflegung) charge of about EUR 120 for school lunch.

- Fees for additional afternoon care beyond the core hours (after 16:00) are charged according to booked hours and are tiered by booking time; specific hourly or package rates for extra hours are set according to the booking choices.

- The school does not publish a per‑grade differentiation of the standard monthly tuition for primary grades; a single monthly figure is provided for regular instruction and full‑day care. Term or per‑term and per‑year breakdowns are not published in the school's public materials.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- Voluntary parent contributions managed by the parents' support association (GPS) are collected monthly and processed on the 20th of each month. These voluntary contributions are collected separately from the regular fees.

- The school may collect a small annual petty cash amount (used to cover minor costs such as excursions, public transport, entrance fees) of approximately EUR 60 and can debit this from parents' accounts via direct debit (Lastschrift) at parents' request. A materials fee is collected once per school year. Exact dates and amounts for the materials fee are determined annually.

- Afternoon care and holiday care are available by booking and are billed according to the booked package; holiday program bookings are handled separately. Core day and GTB operating hours run from 07:30–18:30, with the instructional core 08:30–16:00.

Boarding fees

- The school operates as a day school with before‑ and after‑school care (Ganztagsbetreuung) and holiday care. There is no boarding provision; boarding fees are not applicable.

Other costs and recurring charges

- Catering/lunch: approx. EUR 120 per month (catering lump sum).

- Annual materials fee: collected once per year (amount determined annually).

- Petty cash/pupil fund: a yearly petty cash sum of about EUR 60 may be debited to cover small expenses (field trips, tickets, entry fees) if parents agree.

- Extracurricular: Instrumental lessons and private language or instrument instruction are contracted separately with external teachers and are charged directly to parents; these costs are in addition to school fees. Foreign‑language mother‑tongue support and private instrumental lessons are fee‑based beginning from the second grade.

- Optional extra after‑school hours and holiday‑care activities are charged according to booking and program.

- Voluntary contributions to the parents' support association (GPS) help finance English‑speaking teachers; these are processed separately from tuition.

Refund information

- No published, detailed refund policy for tuition, catering, or care fees is provided in the school's publicly available admission and information materials. Any refund rules or exceptions (for example, for early withdrawal, prolonged illness, or missed meals/care) would be handled according to the school's contractual terms.

Fee payment options and methods

- Direct debit (Lastschrift) is used for certain charges (for example, voluntary GPS contributions and optional petty cash debits) and for annual collections where indicated.

- The school's published materials do not provide a comprehensive list of all accepted payment methods (e.g., credit card or specific bank transfer instructions are not detailed in the public information). Specific payment methods and invoicing arrangements are handled by the school administration.

Jan Amos Comenius Grundschule (JACG) is a four-year private, state-recognized primary school in München-Pasing that follows the Bavarian curriculum with a German-English bilingual program. Ages 6 to 10. The school adds a dedicated Europa subject that explores family origins and broader European contexts. In every classroom three adults—one German-speaking teacher, one English-speaking teacher, and a Ganztagsbetreuung paraprofessional—support learning, with English instruction delivered through immersion; English instruction becomes formal in Grade 3, and the same teacher speaks English or German throughout the lesson. JACG is part of Münchner Schulstiftung – Ernst von Borries. Facilities include an extended day from 8:30 to 16:00, with before-school care from 7:30 and after-school care until 18:30; a warm noonday meal and recess snacks. GTB offers a rotating program with sports, theatre, music, and creative projects. On-site mother-tongue instruction in languages such as French, Spanish and Greek supports language and culture. A pupil leadership program, called Paten, fosters mentoring of younger students.
