Facilities Overview

John F. Kennedy School Berlin is a public school serving Entrance Class through Grade 12 with more than 1,600 German and American students. The campus is located at Teltower Damm 87-93, 14167 Berlin. The school provides a German-American bicultural, bilingual education in Berlin. The JFK Friendship Center offers two bilingual, bicultural daycare centers and cooperates with the John F. Kennedy School for eFöB/after-school care.

Sports Facilities

The sports program uses multiple indoor spaces, including an Old Gym and Gym A for elementary activities. High School activities take place in Gym A, Gym B, Gym C, Gym D, and on a field for outdoor sports. There is a year‑round rowing option through Schülerruderverband Wannsee e.V., with indoor ergometer training in winter. The 2025/26 schedule includes basketball, soccer, badminton, lacrosse, volleyball, and other activities across Elementary and High School.

Academic Facilities

The Elementary School Library is an integral part of the curriculum and serves Entrance Class through Grade 6. The library provides reading materials in German and English and supports information literacy and a love of reading. The library offers a diverse range of resources including English and German picture books, nonfiction, magazines, eBooks, audiobooks, headphones, and online references. The Elementary School uses two computer labs, a media center in the library, keyboarding instruction in German and English, and Google Apps for Education for staff and students; there is partial wireless access in the Elementary School. High School emphasizes technology across disciplines and ensures ready access to technology to support learning.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Model United Nations (BERMUN / MUN) is a core High School activity with weekly debates and two annual conferences, BER MUN and BERMUN2. Music offerings include the Suzuki Violin Program for EC–Grade 5 and a Choir for Grades 3–4, with rehearsals before or after school and during lunch. Odyssey of the Mind (ES) provides creative problem‑solving experiences with participation at German finals and international venues. Scouting (ES) includes Cub Scout Pack 152 and Boy Scout Troop 46 with den meetings, field trips, camping and service projects. The JFK Friendship Center offers family activities, language classes, drama, gym, dance, art, music, and social events, and Hort provides after‑school care in collaboration with the FC.
