Jules Verne Campus Munich follows an autonomous learning model with learning studios where students take responsibility for their own learning. The Grammar School is state-approved and leads students through the Bavarian curriculum to the Abitur, with the option to transfer to public schools as external participants. The program emphasizes core competencies such as work organization, time management, self-reflection, and learning strategies, and includes Future Skills as part of daily practice.
Curiosology® fosters curiosity and creativity through two hours per week and is complemented by créAktiva, which offers elective courses and projects in areas such as theatre, dance, and music. The campus provides dedicated art studios and a designed environment to support creativity across learning houses, with cross-age collaboration and project-based learning.
Language immersion is central, with German and English as languages of instruction. In the Elementary School, each learning group has two guides—one German-speaking and one English-speaking—allowing language to be learned through daily use; in Grammar School, subjects are taught immersively in English or German depending on the language of the learning guide. About half the staff come from English-speaking countries, contributing to a bilingual environment that supports functional bilingualism.
Learning groups mix grades (e.g., 1–2 with 3–4), enabling cross-age mentoring and cooperative learning. The campus emphasizes social learning and exploration through Curiosology and créAktiva, offering opportunities for creative and collaborative projects beyond the core timetable.
Coaching at Jules Verne Campus Grammar School focuses on trust, learning, and guidance. Students select their coach, and coaching sessions occur on campus during school hours and are designed to support personal development. The approach includes regular reflection, goal setting, and parent collaboration, with coaching support offered as part of the pedagogical framework and provided free of charge to support families.
SPORT & MOVEMENT is a central focus, with movement and physical activity integrated into the daily timetable. The campus provides spacious learning studios and movement facilities, guided by a sports coordinator to incorporate movement into lessons, and a designed environment that includes rest and group-work spaces to support well-being.
