The Jules Verne Campus gGmbH operates as a non-profit company in Munich. The elementary school and the grammar school are built on the decades-tested SBW Haus des Lernens concept. SBW Haus des Lernens AG originated in 1980 and has developed the educational concept using insights from neurobiology, psychology and entrepreneurship, with a commitment to quality assurance and pedagogical innovation. To date, more than twelve thousand youths have benefited from SBW learning houses, and in the last five years, more than 130 schools across Europe have adopted and implemented SBW's approaches. The campus is located at Bayerwaldstraße 8, 81737 München.
We are an open learning house and value parents contributing their professional or leisure expertise as expert knowledge where possible, and we welcome collaboration with other interested people and institutions that can contribute to our educational goals. There is a Parent Council in the kindergarten, primary school, grammar school and after‑school care. The Parent Council supports the school leadership in the respective matters, administers a funding pot and helps identify the right contact person for parents' concerns. Depending on learning content, we use external learning venues with the support of friends and partners to broaden the horizons of our learners, such as the Umweltgarten Neubiberg or the Maulwurfshausen adventure playground; visits to museums, a camel farm, and the European Central Bank are also part of our program.
There is a Parent Council (Elternbeirat) in kindergarten, primary school, grammar school and Hort. It supports the school leadership in the respective matters, administers a funding pot and helps identify the right contact person for parents' concerns.
