Cultural and Language

English and Chinese are learned from preschool, and Chinese is taught to students who join later. From grade 10, students may learn Spanish. Culture Week takes place once a year, during which all age groups engage with different cultures. Class trips to the USA (grade 8) and to China (grade 10) provide immersive cultural experiences. There are international partner schools for exchanges: Thaddeus Stevens School in Lyndon, Vermont, USA and Xi'an Foreign Language School in Xi'an, China, with annual two-week exchanges.

Leadership and Professional

Democratic learning forms the foundation of our school community. Klassenrat, a class council, fosters student voice and autonomy. Students discuss global and local topics such as climate change and social media, and address problems collaboratively. These practices empower students to develop critical thinking and responsible participation.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

Movement plays an important role with daily physical education. Activities include swimming, sailing, and field hockey. The 6th grade goes on an annual trip to Ratzeburg. All students have the opportunity to take the basic sailing license exam.
