There are international partner schools for exchanges: Thaddeus Stevens School in Lyndon, Vermont, USA and Xi'an Foreign Language School in Xi'an, China, with annual two-week exchanges.
Democratic learning forms the foundation of our school community. Klassenrat, a class council, fosters student voice and autonomy. Students discuss global and local topics such as climate change and social media, and address problems collaboratively. These practices empower students to develop critical thinking and responsible participation.
Movement plays an important role with daily physical education. Activities include swimming, sailing, and field hockey. The 6th grade goes on an annual trip to Ratzeburg. All students have the opportunity to take the basic sailing license exam.
