Diving Deeper

Uniform Requirement

The school has a uniform.

Food Options

Lunch is available; snack menus include allergen information.
Fees
Application fees

- No specific numerical application or registration fee is published in the school's publicly available admissions material. The school primarily serves entitled Ministry of Defence (MOD) families; places for fee-paying (non‑entitled) pupils are available under MOD arrangements and fees for those places are determined and published annually by MOD.

Tuition fees by year group (per term and per year)

- The school does not publish a public, year-grouped fee schedule listing per-term or per‑year tuition amounts. For entitled MOD families the education place is provided under MOD entitlement; for non‑entitled (fee‑paying) pupils fees are set by MOD and published on an annual basis. Fees for non‑entitled pupils cover the normal facilities provided to entitled students.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- Fees for fee‑paying students are payable upon admission and are due before the start of the relevant term/half term. Parents who sign the MOD/ school parental agreement accept responsibility for payment on or before the first day of each term unless an employer has agreed to pay. Employers may be invoiced directly where appropriate and certified. Parents leaving during a term remain liable for fees up to the end of the current half term.

Boarding fees

- Boarding is not provided. St David's is a day primary school for ages 3–11; no boarding or boarding fees apply.

Other costs and routinely payable extras

- Uniform: School uniform is purchased through the school's supplier (orders are placed on the supplier's online shop) and is charged separately by that supplier; the school operates a BFPO delivery arrangement for uniform orders. Exact uniform item prices are set by the supplier.
- Wrap‑around care and clubs: Breakfast club, after‑school clubs and extended day care are offered and are managed through the school; these services may carry charges and require booking. Specific session rates are not published in the publicly available material.
- Meals, snacks and additional services: The school publishes menus and supplementary services (snack/lunch information) and operates additional‑services provision; any meal or service charges are billed separately. Exact prices are not published in the school's public pages.
- School trips, optional activities and external providers: These are normally charged as separate items when they occur; individual trip costs and optional activity fees are set per activity and invoiced as required.
- Medical treatment: Routine inspections are included for fee‑paying pupils, but treatment or inoculations and emergency treatment for non‑entitled pupils are not covered and are the responsibility of parents (insurance recommended).

Refund information

- If a pupil leaves part‑way through a term the parent remains liable for fees up to the end of the current half term; no refund is made for pupils leaving early after completing public examinations or for pupils excluded for misconduct. Refunds in exceptional circumstances (for example school closure for exigencies of Service) may be made at the discretion of the Director of Education (MOD).

Fee payment options and invoicing

- Publicly available school materials do not list specific accepted payment methods (for example bank transfer, card payments), but the MOD application and parental agreement framework shows that parents are invoiced and are contractually required to pay by the start of term or half term; employers may be billed directly where an employer certificate of entitlement is provided. For uniform purchases, the supplier's online shop is used and will accept the supplier's listed payment methods. For precise permitted payment methods and invoicing arrangements, the school's admissions/finance office issues the invoice and confirms the accepted payment channels.

Key practical points for parents

- Entitled MOD families: education places are provided under entitlement; no routine tuition charge is published for entitled pupils.
- Non‑entitled (fee‑paying) families: fees are determined by MOD and published annually; parents sign a payment commitment and are responsible for fees unless an employer has agreed to pay. Fees are due on admission and before the start of the term/half term; leaving mid‑term generally does not attract a refund beyond the end of the current half term except in exceptional circumstances.

Note on published figures

- The school's public admissions pages and parent welcome booklet do not publish numeric tuition, per‑term or per‑year figures for the 2026/27 or 2025/26 academic year. MOD sets and publishes the official rates for fee‑paying (non‑entitled) pupils annually and the MOD application/parental agreement documents describe billing, payment responsibility and refund rules. For an exact current fee figure for a specific year group and the school year in question, the MOD fee schedule and the school's admissions/finance correspondence provide the official amounts and invoicing details.

Admissions

Admissions

The school welcomes children from the term after they turn 3 years old until they are 11 years old (Pre-school – Year 6). To learn more or arrange a tour, parents should submit an expression of interest; this provides more information and helps book a tour or meeting. After expressing interest, an admissions form will be sent to the family. For UK MoD families, all necessary documents must be returned before a place can be offered, and the initial step is to fill in the First Contact Form (UK MoD only). The school will then request information from the child's current school and proceed. An Educational Clearance Certificate will be issued once the school confirms it can meet the child's needs in Ramstein; if the certificate is not available it may cause a delay. The school needs to contact the current school and, if either school is on holiday, there may be a delay obtaining the necessary information. Eight full working weeks should be allowed for clearance. If not UK MoD and more information is desired, the expression of interest process will be used to arrange a tour or answer questions. For non-MOD children, a waiting list is maintained based on the date of application. The school looks forward to welcoming you and your family to Ramstein and St David's School.
