The Roman Ridge School was founded in 2002. It is a private co-educational institution of about 770 students aged 4 to 18. It follows the English National Curriculum and the English Preparatory Schools Curriculum and is registered with the Ghana Education Service (HQGAR.1BS8001). It is the first accredited Independent Preparatory School in West Africa and holds memberships with several UK associations. Administration is by a five-member Board of Directors with an Academic Board of Governors; the school is endorsed by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).
TRRS is a long-standing member of the ISSAG, with school teams earning medals across sports. The school runs a four-week French Immersion programme in France each Summer in partnership with StudyLingua. The school participates in the Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition and has earned medals in the country since 2015. TRRS celebrates Ghanaian culture through the Sankofa Heritage Programme and joined the Commonwealth Day commemoration in Accra.
Vision: The PTA aims to foster a strong sense of community among parents, teachers, and students. Mission: It seeks to support and complement the school's educational goals by fostering a positive and collaborative partnership between parents, teachers and management. It will organize events, workshops, and informative sessions to engage parents in their children's learning and maintain open communication. Fundraising for school initiatives, scholarships, and awards is part of the PTA's activities, and it advocates for students and parents by participating in school decision-making.
