Fees
Application fees

- There is no application fee for admission to Arts School of Gerakas (Καλλιτεχνικό Σχολείο Γέρακα).

Tuition fees by year group (per term / per year)

- There are no tuition fees for any year group. Education at Arts School of Gerakas is provided without compulsory tuition charges for Gymnasium and Lyceum classes; therefore the per-term and per-year tuition amount for all year groups is EUR 0.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- There is no regular billing schedule for tuition because no tuition is charged. Any charges that may arise (see “Other costs or fees” below) are handled on an ad hoc basis and are billed or collected only when a specific service, activity, or external provider requires payment.

Boarding fees (if applicable)

- The school operates as a day secondary school; there are no boarding facilities and no boarding fees for students.

Other costs or fees (uniform, materials, transport, trips, extracurriculars)

- There is no compulsory school uniform fee charged by the school. Routine personal school supplies and specialised art materials (paints, canvases, costumes, props, dance shoes, etc.) are the responsibility of families and are paid directly by parents as required.

- School-run or third-party costs may occur for optional activities such as field trips, performances, exhibitions, special workshops, or external courses; these costs, when levied, are charged per event or activity.

- Organized student transport (school bus routes) is provided under the school's transport arrangements; transport may be subject to separate eligibility rules or charges administered by the responsible authority or transport provider. Where transport is provided or contracted, any applicable fees or contribution requests are managed separately from school tuition and billed by the transport provider or the responsible municipal/contracting body.

Refund information

- Because no application or tuition fees are charged, there is no tuition refund policy required for those items. For optional paid services (for example transport, external workshops, paid trips or hired facilities), any refund, cancellation, or adjustment follows the terms set by the organiser or contracting provider for that specific service; such terms are applied on a case-by-case basis. The school's transport guidance and contractor arrangements reference provider responsibility where third-party transport is used.

Fee payment options

- There are no standard school tuition payment methods because no tuition is charged. When optional services or third-party activities require payment, the payment method is determined by the school or the external provider for that specific activity; those arrangements are typically communicated to parents for each charge and may include payment to the provider or to the school office as instructed.

Admissions

Admissions

1. Applications for admission to the A' Class are submitted only to the Art School in the district where the applicant's permanent residence is located. For the Arts School of Gerakas, applications are accepted from residents within the following territorial units: East Attica Secondary Education Directorate, the B' Athens Secondary Education Directorate, and the D' Athens Secondary Education Directorate, with the provision that the schools involved are those in Glyfada and Elliniko-Argyroupoli.
2. Eligibility for the A' Class is limited to graduates of primary schools (public or private) who are admitted after a selection process. The selection occurs after the entrance examinations. Parents or guardians who wish to participate must apply to the Arts School to which they geographically belong to participate in the entrance examinations. The opening of applications, the required documents, and the communication method for interested parties are announced by the School, and applications for the entrance examinations occur on specific dates in May each school year.
3. The examinations for entry to the A' Class take place in June, between the 15th and 30th. The School announces the exact dates; if the number of candidates is large, the examination and assessment may be conducted over multiple days. In exceptional cases, if the June examinations cannot be held, they are conducted from September 1st to 11th by decision of the Regional Director of Education, following a recommendation from the School Council and the relevant Directorate.
4. The difference between entrance examinations and aptitude examinations is that the former are for admission to the A' Class, while aptitude examinations are for admission to B' Gymnasium, C' Gymnasium, A' Lyceum, and B' Lyceum and are conducted in September only if vacancies exist.
5. Vacancies may occur in B' or C' Gymnasium or in A' or B' Lyceum in some years. These vacancies are filled through Aptitude Examinations conducted in September. The vacancies are announced between September 1st and 12th on the School's website. Parents may submit applications within the notice period, and the aptitude examinations are held in the third decade of September.
6. Do not submit an application for aptitude examinations if no vacancies have been announced for that year. The School communicates the existence of vacancies and the corresponding application window.
7. Applications are submitted by the parents/guardians to the Arts School to which they belong geographically. If a parent cannot submit in person due to objective difficulties, a power of attorney may authorize another person to submit on their behalf.
8. For the aptitude process, guardians must provide the required documents for each application. If a student wishes to be a candidate in two directions, two separate applications must be submitted, each with its own set of required documents. Each student may be a candidate in one or two artistic directions. For the Dance direction, two recent medical certificates of health and good physical/orthopedic condition are required: one from a physician (general practitioner or pediatrician) and one from an orthopedic specialist.
